Issues converting msg file to pdf

Hello, we are trying to convert an incoming msg file to pdf. We are using aspose-email 23.8. We have two questions:

  1. Is there a way to convert .msg files to PDF directly with aspose? Currently, the implementation we have found has us first converting to a word document and then saving that as a PDF.

  2. If an incoming email has a wide image or table, the wide part gets cut off. Is there a way to ensure that the email size is scaled to the resulting PDF correctly?

Hello @drymers,

Aspose.Email doesn’t provide a direct way to convert to pdf.

Are you using Aspose.Words to convert a document to PDF? If so, please contact the Aspose.Word support forum, to clarify the settings you need to apply and scale the PDF correctly.

Thanks.

Yes, we are using aspose words, and that seems to be causing the issues we are seeing with emails that are particularly wide. I will re post the inquiry there. Thank you!

@drymers,

Thank you.

Hello again, for an email with attachments, how do you ensure that the attachments appear as they normally would have in the email? The attachments in our current logic when converted to PDF end up shrinking beyond recognition.

Hi @drymers,

Please consult Aspose.Words regarding conversion to pdf.

I’m sorry to say but we aren’t responsible for that. We’re responsible for conversion from elm to mht.
