Hi Nikos,
Thanks for your interest in Aspose products. Often the easiest way to set a license is to put the license file in the same folder as Aspose.Barcode.dll and specify just the file name without path. Please read the following article for details:
Also, it could be that the problem occurs because of the following reason:
When you purchase and download a license, Aspose website names the license file ‘Aspose.Total.Product.Family.LIC’. You download the license file using your browser. Some browsers recognize the license file as XML and append an .xml extension to it so the full name of the file on your computer becomes ‘Aspose.Total.Product.Family.lic.XML’.
When Microsoft Windows is configured to hide extensions of known file types (unfortunately this is default in most Windows installations), the license file will appear to you as ‘Aspose.Total.Product.Family.LIC’ in Windows Explorer. You are likely to think this is the real file name and call License.SetLicense passing it ‘Aspose.Total.Product.Family.LIC’, but there is no such file, hence the exception.
To solve the problem, rename the file to remove the invisible .xml extension. We also recommend you disable the “hide extensions” option in Microsoft Windows.
I hope, this helps.
Best regards,
Hello Awais,
I finally managed to find the .lic file.
When I run the code I get a message that the license has expired.
While the lic file says that the license is valid till 2013-12-20
20130320
This is a temporary license for non-commercial use only and it will expire on 2013-03-20.
Please note that i haven’t mange to run your product not even a single time.
I 'll be on vacations till 2013-12-27, you may send me another lic after 2014-01-02 in order to have some time to test it.
I wish to you Mary Christmas and a happy new year.
BR,
Nikos
Hi Nikos,
Thank you for contacting us. First, please recheck the license file. You can open the license file using notepad. You will see a subscription expiry tag and confirm that the license is valid till 2013-12-20. If it is so then please make a zip file of your Aspose license and send me through email. We shall take a closer look and guide you accordingly.
Please follow the steps mentioned here:
For a new license file request, Aspose.Purchase is to handle such queries. I would recommend you to
create a new post in Aspose.Purchase forum or tell me because I can move this thread in Aspose.Purchase forum.
