License for Aspose.Words .Net vs Python

Hi,
I evaluated Aspose.Words for .Net and I found that it corresponds to my needs. I want to use it for a development in .Net and for another development in Python. Do I need to purchase 2 licenses for that (1 Aspose.Words for .Net and 1 Aspose.Words for Python via .Net) ?

You are asking whether you need to purchase two separate licenses for Aspose.Words if you intend to use it in both .NET and Python environments . The answer depends on how you’re using the Python integration.

Aspose.Words for Python is a Python wrapper around the .NET library , meaning it relies on the underlying .NET component. However, since it’s a distinct product offering, you typically need a valid license for each environment where you use it—so yes, you would generally need to purchase a license for Aspose.Words for .NET and another for Aspose.Words for Python .

If you’re using Aspose.Words for Python via .NET, you still need a valid license for the .NET version . This is because the Python package is built on top of the .NET engine and requires a proper license to function correctly.

In summary:

  1. You likely need two separate licenses—one for Aspose.Words for .NET and one for Aspose.Words for Python.
  2. Even though Python uses the .NET engine, it’s treated as a separate product requiring its own license.

@youafiey Yes, if you plan to use Aspose.Words for .NET and Aspose.Words for Python via .NET you will need two separate licenses for these products.
