Licensing for Aspose.Word 3.3.4.0

My team has taken over maintenance for an application that was developed by another consulting firm. Part of the application uses the Aspose.Word.dll component, version 3.3.4.0. We recently did an update to the application which has caused all instances where the Aspose.Word.dll component is used to display the evaluation message. The application also uses the Aspose.PowerPoint.dll component which we can see the associated .LIC file for that component. Should this version of the Aspose.Word.dll also have a .LIC file, or are there simply registered and evaluation copies of the assembly?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, Aspose.Words should have license too. See the following link to learn more about evaluating of Aspose.Words.

Also see the following link.

Best regards.

Thank you for your reply. Is there a chance that this older version of the component does not use a separate license file? This application has been in production for over 2 years, and there is no Aspose.Word.lic located on the production server, and no call to .SetLicense within the codebase that we inherited. I also ran FileMon.exe while running the code and I never saw it attempting to pull a .LIC file in, whereas the portion of the code that uses Aspose.PowerPoint.dll very clearly read the Aspose.PowerPoint.lic.

Thanks again.

Aspose.Words can also use Aspose.Total.lic or Aspose.Custom.lic. Also note that license file can be an embedded resource.

But in any case you should set license to rid evaluating message.
