When instantiating a new presentation, it can easily take over 1 min for large files.
I was wondering if you ever thought about making a progress callback that could report how far along the import is? Maybe a percentage or slide x of 51?

You suggestion is quite good. I think, it can easily be implemented using some sort of interface for reporting progress, but it is the technical team that knows its exact feasibility. So, I have forwarded it to development lead.
