Mail Merge: Auto Sizing Columns in Word Table based on the data value length

Hi!
I wonder if it is possible to atuomatically resize columns in MS Word table after mail merge has been completed. I.e. columns would become as wide as the largest value in that column. Something like Auto Fit function in MS Excel.

Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, there is no way to specify “Auto-fit to content” option of table cell using Aspose.Words. I linked your request to the appropriate issue; you will be notified as soon as this feature is supported.
Currently, you can only specify fixed width of table cells.

I think, in your case, you can try using MS Word to specify “AutoFit” -> “AutoFit to Content” options for the table in your template. After mail merge you will get expected result.

Thanks for quick responce. Could you please clarify weather you are talking about setting AutoFit using aspose API or setting it by changing table/column properties of MS Word template?
In the API, it seems that Table does not have Column property, so I am not sure how can set auto fit for a column(s).

Anything on this yet? A workaround perhaps. My cells are generated and have content of varying widths. Auto-fit to contents would be great!

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-2044) have been fixed in this .NET update and in this Java update.
