Mail merge with mustache fails depending on template version

Hi,

We have some legacy Word documents (MS Word Version unknown), that we want to use for MailMerge with aspose.

We’re using a custom IMailMergeDataSource and IMailMergeDataSourceRoot to get the data from our business objects.

If we add the mustache expressions with MS Word Professional 2010, we get an infinite loop because getChildDataSource() is called with the same element. If we use MS Word Business 2013 to add the exprssions, everything works as expected.

Is this a known issue or more general, what Versions of MS Office are supported by Aspose.Words for Java?

Regards

Thanks Awais,

I got some news on that. It’s not related to the MS Word Version. Unfortunately, I cannot provide neither code nor documents due to confidentiality issues.

Currently, it seems to be a plattform issue. I can run my code sucessfully on an Linux based system, but executing exactely the same code base on a windows system causes the infinite loop.

Btw: I’m using Aspose.Words 13.8.0
