MS Office files to PDF/A

Hi.

I need to convert all MS Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint 2003 and 2007 formats) to PDF/A (1a and 1b). Can I do this with this component? Or I should use Aspose.Pdf.Kit? Please assist.

Thanks advance,
Alex Shloma

Hi,

I am from Aspose.Cells team. Well, you need to have different products to convert different Office formats to PDF/A. Our colleagues from different teams would help you soon regarding their corresponding formats. For Excel to PDF/A format, I would like you share that, it does support this conversion. Please see the document for your reference:

Thank you.

Hi

Thanks for your request. I already answered this question regarding MS Word files here:

Best regards,

Thanks for reply.

So, as I understood correctly, I can save all office formats (using corresponding your products: Aspose.Words, Aspose.Cells, Aspose.Slides) as common pdf or pdf/a-1b. But what about PDF/A-1a format. Can I save as pdf1.5 (or whatever), using your components, and then using Aspose.Pdf.Kit save as PDF/A-1a?

Hi Alex,

I’m sorry to inform you that it is currently not feasible to convert an existing PDF file to PDF/A (1a or 1b); however, we have already logged related feature requests as PDFNEWNET-26321 and PDFNEWNET-20047 respectively, in our issue tracking system. Our team is looking into these requirements and you’ll be notified via this forum thread once they’re supported.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards,

Thanks, will wait when you inform.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as PDFNEWNET-26321) have been fixed in this update.
