Nested formula with page references

Hi,
I have the following field:
{ IF { PAGE } = { PAGEREF bookmarkname } "True" "False" }
on two different pages. One on the same page as the the bookmark “bookmarkname” and one that isnt. After calling UpdateFields and UpdatePageLayout both field end up with the same value.
Is there a way to make this work. Maybe with a different formula structure?
