With the the shift to serialization using System.Text in .Net, Newtonsoft.Json is deprecated and no longer being actively developed. The last release was over 2 years ago in March of 2023. Enterprises are starting to require removal of dependencies on this library.
Are there any plans to switch away from Newtonsoft?
