Hi - I have used your template generator to generate templates. If I need regular users of the application to create a template I would need to provide exe and license key. This may be difficult since I don’t want to put license key on users machine nor give it to them.
Therefore is there a way to create the template without providing the license key ? Better yet would it be possible to package the key as embedded resource and hence users cannot get to it. ?
Is the code for the template generator open source ?
Thanks,
Joe
Hi Joe,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Currently OMR Template Editor Tool accepts the license (.lic) file only by browsing to the file on the local drive, means the license (.lic) file has to be present on the same machine where you are trying to use the Editor tool. Secondly, the OMR Template Editor Tool is not an open source.
Further, please note that an enhancement ticket with number OCR-34134 has been logged in our system to provide a mechanism that will be more secure in such a way that license (.lic) file should not be required once supplied/embedded in the OMR Template Editor Tool. Our product team will analyze the requirement and we will update you accordingly.
Hope the above information helps. In case of any issues, need further clearance please be sure to let us know, we will be glad to assist you.
The issues you have found earlier (filed as ) have been fixed in this Aspose.Words for JasperReports 18.3 update.
