Open File Error - "Input string was not in a correct format."

Hi laurence,

I am meeting with a very strange error. When i try to open the attached excel file, it throws an exception and the exception message is:
"Input string was not in a correct format."

I have absolutely no idea what is creating this and would appreciate your advise. I am using Aspose.Excel version 3.4.4.4

do help as this is a new problem with a production system.

It seems that this problem is caused by some document properties in your file. I copied the content to a new file and it works fine. Please try this attached file.

We will check and fix this problem.

hi laurence, you are correct. we actually tried copying the data to another workbook as a workaround. however, it’ll be good if we can resolve the problem at its root.

appreciate any updates. thanks!

We will check this issue and reply you if we make any progress.

Please try this fix.

hi laurence, thanks for the fix. we have tested and it solves the opening file problem.

however, we have found another issue when we use the updated control regarding the license. the following error occurs when we try to inject the license:

"The subscription included in this license allows free upgrades until 01 三月
2006, but this version of the product was released on 24 四月 2006. Please renew
the subscription or use a previous version of the product."

as this is for a deployed system, how should we resolve this?

thanks for your advise.

Hi Nick,

It seems that your license is expired. You purchased license on March 2005, right?

To solve it, you have to renew your subscription for the new version.

Please check

OK - thanks. I’m planning to upgrade my subscription in any case.
