How do i open microsoft word from java? I assume its through jni but no
dll’s were included with the distribution. i found references in this
forum to ‘Aspose.Word.Word w = new Word()’; w.open(“myfilename”) but no
reference to it in the javadoc. can u point me in the right direction.

I am afraid I cannot help you with that. The lines you are referring to actually create and open COM helper class which was called Word some time ago. Now it is called ComHelper. It is not related to openning word documents in MS Word. Aspose.Words generally deals with opening and manipulating of word document files without any interaction with MS Word.
