Page Number is not getting refreshed after deleting few pages

Hi,

We are using Aspose.Words for Reporting Services. After generating the report in the word format and when we open the document and deleting few pages, the page number is not getting re set. Say for example. We have generated a document with 2 pages with page number 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. Even after deleting the page number 2, the first page still shows 1 of 2 rather than 1 of 1.

Hi,

Basically, this happens because of the following. To be updated, page numbers in a Word document must be represented by a PAGE field. Aspose.Words for Reporting Services does detect the corresponding expression in the textbox and converts it into a PAGE field but ignores it when the text of the textbox is more than just a =Globals!PageNumber expression. Please attach your original RDL report and I will see if I can implement a smarter conversion.
