We would like to inform you that we are facing issues with .pages and .key extension files. Neither I am able to convert into docx for .pages or pptx for .key like it works in libreoffice but some .numbers are working and able to convert and some are failing saying empty stack. But thing is libreoficce supports such engine in free but not aspose
Currently, Aspose does not support the direct conversion of .pages (Apple Pages) and .key (Apple Keynote) files to formats like DOCX or PPTX. This limitation is notable compared to some other tools that may offer such functionality.
For .numbers files, conversion attempts may succeed or fail depending on the content, with potential issues such as an “empty stack” error arising from the file’s complexity or structure.
To work with these file types, consider using an intermediary format or tool that can facilitate the conversion before processing with Aspose. For instance, you could convert .pages and .key files to PDF or another supported format using a different tool, and then utilize Aspose to manipulate those files.

@mineshquikdata Unfortunately, in Aspose.Words there are no plans to support iWorks .pages file format in the nearest future. Development of this feature has been postponed due to low demand.

I understand this is blocking your purchase, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience. At the moment, Aspose.Slides does not support Apple Keynote (.key) files, and we do not expect to add native .key support in the near future.

If you see libreoffice provides such engines in free. So, why not Aspose. My all POC was done but just stuck due to this. Please help

Right now Aspose doesn’t support .pages/.key because demand is very low while building and maintaining reliable engines for them is a large, long-term effort, so we prioritize higher-use formats. As a workaround, if you can convert .pages/.key files to PDF, you can then load the PDFs with Aspose.Slides and Aspose.Words and save them as .pptx and .docx, respectively.
