i have a PDF/A document, created by professionl services LTD but when i use aspose function isPdfaCompliant it returns FALSE. When I open the document in Adobe it says that it is PDF/A compliant.
some more infos. I attachet better example with is passed all validation procedures in adobe. I also attachet log from validate(“log.xml”, PdfFormat.PDF_A_3B) function.
Thanks for your inquiry. I have tested your shared PDF files with Adobe Preflight tool and It seems your both PDF files are not PDFA compliant. So Aspose.Pdf is returning correct results, please find screenshots for your reference.
Please feel free to contact us for any further assistance.
The problem is that aspose says that it is not PDF/A because of AcroForm which is not true. AcroForm sould be in PDF/A (there is no error in Adobe Pro screenshot as you send me)
Thanks for your feedback. I have tested your both documents using Preflight tool of Adobe and it is not validating these document. Can you please test the documents with Preflight and share the results?
Please note we follow Adobe Preflight for validating PDF/A conformance. All tools on the market have their own “representation” of PDF/A conformance. Please check this article on PDF/A validation tools for reference. We chose Adobe products for verifying how Aspose.Pdf produces PDF files because Adobe is at the center of everything connected to PDF.
The problem is that the PDF/A files generated by this tool is passed certification of long archiving electronic files which is most important for us.
The errors shows by the Adobe is not critical errors by point of view of long archiving files. The problem that I reported is that Aspose says something diferent about the errors (AcroForm cannot be in PDF/A - which is not true).
The last problem is that when I use aspose lib for conversion of this file and than pass the PDF/A validation I receive a lot of errors but aspose lib says “this is PDF/A”.

I am afraid I am not clear about your statement. Do you mean Pdf-tools and you want to use it for validation?

What I understand you mean, Aspose validation error are different than Adobe Preflight tool. We are looking into it and will update you soon.

I have converted your in_pdf.pdf to PDFA3b standard using Aspose.Pdf for Java 9.7.1 and verified successfully with Adobe Preflight tool. Please find attached output document and verification screen shot. Please try latest version of Aspose.Pdf for Java, hopefully it will work.
We are sorry for the delayed response. We have logged a ticket PDFNEWJAVA-34850 to investigate the difference in validation log of Aspose.Pdf for Java and Adobe Preflight. We will keep you updated about the issue resolution progress within this forum thread.
