Hi,
We are currently evaluating Aspose.PDF for Reporting Services to meet our requirement of producing PDF/A compliant documents with Reporting Services. During our testing phase, we’ve encountered an issue that we hope you can assist us with.
Issue 1: PDF/A Compliance for Reports Exceeding 4 Pages
Issue Description:
- Reports with 4 pages or fewer are successfully generated as PDF/A compliant documents.
- Reports exceeding 4 pages fail to meet PDF/A compliance standards.
Details:
- Aspose.PDF for Reporting Services Version: Aspose.Pdf.ReportingServices.24.5
Questions:
- Is this a known limitation of the current version?
- Are there any specific settings or configurations we should adjust for longer documents?
- Do you have any recommendations or workarounds to ensure PDF/A compliance for reports exceeding 4 pages?
Issue 2: Justify Function Not Working
Issue Description:
The “Justify” function is not working as expected, despite being referenced in the release notes of version 24.4 (PDFRS-33585: “Textbox Justify or Full Justify is not working with Aspose.PDF for Reporting Services + SSRS 2016”).
Questions:
- Can you clarify the status of this fix? Is it fully implemented in version 24.4?
- Are there any specific steps or configurations required to enable the Justify function?
- If the fix is not yet complete, do you have an estimated timeline for when it will be fully implemented?
We appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue, as PDF/A compliance for all our reports, regardless of page count, is crucial for our project.
Thank you for your time and support.
@hengert
Could you please specify if you are using any specific settings or configurations for generating PDF/A compliant documents, and if you have tested with the latest version of Aspose.PDF for Reporting Services?
Please find attached the test files produced using the rendering extension Aspose.PDF for reporting services

Seems like you are evaluating the API without using any license. Please try with a free 30-days temporary license that will remove trial version limitations from the API usage and let us know if you still notice these issues that you have mentioned above.
Hello @asad.ali
I have tried to request a free 30-days temporary license and installed it on my server.
The original filename I have received was Aspose.PDFforReportingServices.lic that i have renamed into Aspose.Pdf.ReportingServices.lic (i have tried with both name).
I guess with this temporary license I should not have the watermark “Evaluation Only. Created with Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services. Copyright 2002-2024 Aspose Pty Ltd.” anymore, is this correct (i still do have the watermark) ?
@hengert
Yes, you shouldn’t experience the evaluation watermark after installing the license. Can you please make sure that you tried all the directories to put the license in as mentioned in the documentation link shared above?
Hi @asad.ali
Thank you, I do confirm this is now working and issue 1 is now fixed (PDF/A compliant)
Do you have anything with regards to Issue 2 (text justify), do you know if this is now fixed ?
