We are planning for migration from Documentum to Sharepoint
Online and we have requirement to convert documents to pdf. On doing research,
I have found your product for creating PDF. I need to have few clarifications
regarding the below questions:
1.How is the conversion done? Do you have a
Sharepoint Online add in which can be called from workflows? Or do you provide
for some SOAP/REST based API for this.
2.Do you have a cloud offering? If so what is the
API exposed. Also can you let me know where it is hosted.
3.Do you have a module for creating thumbnails
using image files? We don’t want to dynamically create thumbnails, but want to
create thumbnails only when called and this is used for a different application
integration.
Can you please provide information about this, which would
help us in deciding the product.

Hi Thejas,
Thanks for your interest in our API’s.
We have set of API’s for SharePoint services and they also provide the feature to convert various file formats to PDF format. For more information, please visit Aspose.Total for SharePoint.

We also offer set of Cloud API’s which provide the feature to create as well as manipulate various file formats including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, PDF, Image etc and you can use these API’s to transform these files to PDF format. For more information, please visit Aspose.Total for Cloud.

The above mentioned Cloud API’s also offer the feature to create thumbnail of input files.
Besides this, if you need out of box solution without involving programming API’s, you may consider using Apps from our sister company named GroupDocs.
In the event of any further query, please feel free to contact.
In addition to above reply. I would like to update you that currently Aspose.Pdf for SharePoint component does not work in SharePoint online (office 365). We have already logged a new feature request PDFSHP-33391 in our issue tracking system. we will update you as soon as it it implemented.
We are sorry for the delayed response. Please note Aspose.Pdf for SharePoint does not provide support to manipulate image files. However you can use Aspose.Imaging for SharePoint to resize PNG,JPG,GIF,TIFF,BMP and PSD to create thumbnail. Please check following documentation link for details. Hopefully it will help you to accomplish the task.
