PDF to Postscript - additional requirements

Hi all,

We currently have a requirement to convert a few thousand PDF documents into a single postscript file for printing requirements. When we combine the PDF documents for example we run into the following issue:

Let’s for instance take a 3 page document as the first PDF and concatenate this with the 2nd PDF document which only have 2 pages. Now, the concatenated PDF will have 5 pages. If we now print the document as duplex the 1st PDF will print it’s first “image” on front of paper page 1 and it’s 2nd image on the back of paper page 1, and it’s 3rd image on the front of actual paper page 2. hope this makes sense. If you then start with the 2nd PDF page(image) 1 it is printed on the back actual paper page 2 which is incorrect as it should start on a totally new paper page.

What is the best way of solving this as we though perhaps that we add page breaks for all uneven paged PDF’s that we add/concatenate.

Regards

Hi there,

Thanks for your inquiry. Yes you need some pre-processing, add an empty page at end, for PDF files with odd page count. Please check following documentation for adding empty page in a PDF document. Hopefully it will help you to accomplish the task.
