Performance question

We were trying to find out if our current hardware can host aspose and our application server ( Agile on oracle app server) . The projected number of concurrent users (40) and activity is known.

To help us in making this decision do you have any comparable performance testing results on aspose words for java for the following scenarios.
We are using windows 2003 servers with 2.99Ghz, 2:00 GB RAM. Any comparable testing result will be helpful for us.

  1. Test scenario : Create a Microsoft word attachment ( cloning from a MS word document template of 4 pages, 2MB) using Aspose words for java. Assuming 15 users do this concurrently.
  2. Test scenario :25 Concurrent users in the system performing header update on 25 different documents, document of average 5MB , 10 pages using aspose word for java.

Assuming scenarios 1 and 2 are going on on the same server (40 concurrent users in all) What will be the memory/RAM and PROCESSOR requirement.?

  1. Is there any limit on how many documents(average of 5MB , 10 pages) can be edited (update of header) concurrently. Can we configure the number of threads spawned ?

Is there any standard practice for restarting windows server once in a week or so like some other applications on windows ?

Hello!
Thank you for your interest in Aspose products.
We don’t have any particular performance testing results. The common practice is evaluating Aspose.Words in the test environment and making such a decision. I’m almost sure you won’t experience any performance issues using mentioned hardware on your scenarios.
You can download the latest versions from here:
https://releases.aspose.com/words/net
During the evaluation it could be a difficulty to load large documents since evaluation mode has some restrictions. You can get a temporary license free from any functional restrictions:

Please let me know if you have further questions or any feedback. We are glad to help you.
