Hi,
We are using aspose to develop a Drupal (php) module for a client.
During the development we did face a wide range of issues, but we were also looking into the PHP/Java-bridge. It seems like it is not getting any updates?
I don’t see any updates since 2018.
And it is configured for php5 (and our drupal site is php8).
It might not be a problem, but I do worry about lack of updates.
My questions is if you have a development pipeline for the PHP / Java-bridge ?
Or what is the plans with this?
Thanks in advance!
@CharliB,
Thanks for your query.
I think you may try Aspose.Cells for PHP via Java API for your needs. Aspose.Cells for PHP via Java can be used on any platform (Windows, Linux, MacOS, others, etc.) where PHP 7 or greater version is installed.
@CharliB,
Aspose.Cells for PHP via Java is updated monthly. You can download the latest version [22.7] from Spreadsheet File API | PHP Excel Library | Aspose.Cells for PHP via Java. See also the installation guide Setup and Installation Guidelines|Documentation.
Thank you for your response!
We do use the cells for PHP via Java, but in order to get PHP to work with Java we need to use the 3rd part component called PHP / Java bridge.
So it is that component that hasn’t been updated since 2018! I am not sure if it’s something you maintain?
But it is a dependency to get the PHP version to work
@CharliB,
Yes, generally, you have to use PHP/Java bridge to work with Aspose.Cells for PHP via Java. Anyways, we will get back to you with more details.
@CharliB,
Please note, we won’t develop our own PHP/Java bridge, it is out of scope/context. Also, we do not know if PHP/Java-bridge will be updated in future. But in case, it is upgraded/updated or changed, we will make Aspose.Cells for PHP via Java compatible to make it work fine for the new update.
