Pivot table / Chart support in Aspose.Cells

Hi,

I'm trying the last available Aspose.Cells version 4.5.1.24 and I am having the following problems :

- Open an Excel 2003 file that contain a pivot table and save it to Excel 2003 :

=> Everything OK

- Open an Excel 2007 file that contain a pivot table and save it to Excel 2007 :

=> Pivot table OK, but the pivot table position is not refreshed if there is some InsertRows before.

=> Chart sizes are wrong (X/Y inversion ?)

- Open an Excel 2003 file than contain a pivot table and save it to Excel 2007 :

=> Pivot table not working, lost of pivot table features (filters, ...)

- Open an Excel 2007 file that contain a pivot table and save it to Excel 2003 :

=> Pivot table not working, lost of pivot table features (filters, ...)

Can you tell me when we will have all this features available ?

Hi,

Well, currently, we only support to preserve the pivot table(s) when loading the file(s) and save/save as the file(s) with it for MS Excel 2007 .xlsx files.

Anyways, we also appreciate if you could provide us your template files for your underlined issues, we will check them and get back to you soon to provide you further details.

Please find in attachment the result files of all test cases.

I have redone them with Aspose.Cells 4.6.0.0 but results are the same.

For the correct output, see "Input Excel 2003 - Output Excel 2003.xls" file.

Files "Input Excel 2003.xls" and "Input Excel 2007.xlsx" are our input files (exactly same content), datas come from our database (I have anonimized them on Excel after).

Can you tell me when Aspose.Cells will have full support for pivot table (with input/output different format), and also for the problems with Excel 2007 (insert rows before a pivot table doesn't update the position of the pivot table), also see the graph generated in "Input Excel 2007 - Output Excel 2007.xlsx", there is a size problem (third sheet).

Hi,

Well, currently, Aspose.Cells for .NET does not support to convert PivotTables in the Excel2007 template file (.xlsx file format) to Excel2003 file .xls format. Similarly, Aspose.Cells for .NET does not support to convert PivotTables in the Excel2003 template file (.xls format) to Excel2007 file (.xlsx file format). We will soon look into these features to incorporate them in our future versions.

It is to be noted here, Aspoe.Cells for .NET supports to preserve PivotTables in the template files and save/save as the file with them in the same file format types only.

And, we will look into the issues regarding Excel2007 to Excel2007 including chart size problem asap.

Please try the attached version. We have fixed the bugs of pivot table for opening an Excel 2007 file and saving it to Excel 2007.

Don't forget to handle the conversion cases (2003 => 2007 and 2007 => 2003)

We supported the feature (create, manipulate, render and refresh Pivot Tables in XLS/XLSX (MS Excel 2007 - 2019)) with enhancements in newer versions. We recommend you to kindly upgrade to and give it a try to latest version of Aspose.Cells. Also, see the document for your reference:
