Aspose.Cells for Java 7.2.2 It should solve this problem.
Once, you have downloaded it, please update aspose.cells jar file with the latest version:
Aspose.Cells
for Java v7.2.2.1
If the problem still occurs, please provide us your sample code and source xls/xlsx file replicating this problem.

I found if you remove the following line, exception does not occur.
///pivotTable.addFieldToArea(PivotFieldType.ROW, 1);
However, we will look into this issue and see how to fix it.
