pre-Word 97 Format Support

Hi,

We are using aspose.words for loading a word document and converting it to pdf. While trying to convert a word document, we got an error stating that "This document is in the pre-Word97 format and it is not currently supported".

Any fix came for this issue? Else how do we process it?

Unfortunately, Aspose.Words does not support pre-Word97 format. We will consider supporting this format in future. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue (WORDSNET-3881) in our issue tracking system and you will be notified as soon as this old format is supported.

Hi. One of our customers needs to open documents in a pre-Word 97 format too. Is there an ETA for this feature?

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-3881) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
