PreWord-97 Format Documents

Hello,
we are a licensed user and currently using Aspose.Words 14.1 version, we could detect preword97 format document but we had trouble to convert this file to different formats using 14.1 version.
Now we are trying to upgrade to Aspose words 17.5 version expecting that to have greater performance with preword97 format documents. I have noticed that Aspose.Words.FileFormatUtil.DetectFileFormat(strm) no more identify document as “DOCPREWORD97” but it shows as DOC for preword97 format documents .
And, this format file is not converting the document to regular word or other formats as expected (has trouble in converting form fields).

My question is does new Aspose.Words version has better support for PreWord97 format documents detection and conversion? if so please provide some sample code for this.

Thanks
Naren

Please see uploaded document file, this is a preword 97 file which has check box form fields with some checked and some unchecked.
Issue with latest version is, file is not detected as preword 97 format and converting bytes’ steam to document does not convert form fields as expected.

@NarenderPadmi,

Please also note that Word6.0/Word95 file format is officially supported by Aspose.Words now. This feature is not very mature at the moment so there might be some issues with reading such files. Our product team is looking into this issue. We will inform you via this thread as soon as this issue is resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-15618) have been fixed in this Aspose.Words for .NET 17.8 update and this Aspose.Words for Java 17.8 update.
