Problem with barcodes in printed PDF

Hi,
I’ve noticed problem that after saving document into PDF and printing it, barcode image on print doesn’t look exactly the same as in the document.
The problem occurs only when document has horizontal orientation.
I’am attaching pdf, scan of printed document and sample document for testing.

Thanks in advance for help

Hi Jakub,

Thanks for your inquiry. Perhaps you’re using an older version of Aspose.Words; as with Aspose.Words for Java v11.3.0, I was unable to reproduce this issue on my side. I would suggest you please upgrade to the latest version of Aspose.Words i.e. v11.3.0.

I hope, this will help.

Hi,
I’ve attached wrong document (with vertical orientation).
Now I’m attaching the correct one.
‘kik2.pdf’ file is generated using aspose words from 'kik2.doc’
The problem occurs only when you print pdf file. Print form doc file is correct.
I’m using latest 11.3.0 aspose version

Thanks

Hello Jakub,
I converted the attached document to pdf by means of Aspose.Words and MS Word. Then I opened these pdf files in Acrobat Reader 10 and printed them. Barcodes at result printouts differed from each other, but both didn't look as in the source document. I decided to try FoxIt Reader 5.1 instead of Acrobat Reader. As a result I got correct barcodes at both printouts.

It seems like Acrobat Reader can’t print barcode correctly regardless of the way pdf file has been created. Please inform us if you can take correct barcode at printout using Acrobat Reader from pdf file created in any program.

Hi,
thanks for reply. I’ve got correct barcode at printout using Acrobat Reader when I converted doc to pdf in PDFCreator.
Anyway, I think you can close this issue because it’s apparently problem with Adobe Reader.

Thanks,
Jakub Mytnik
