Hi Hans,
Thanks for your inquiry. I have converted this document to PDF format using MS Word 2016 and attached it here for your reference. You can see red cross images in msw-2016.pdf as well. So, this seems to be an expected behavior. If we can help you with anything else, please feel free to ask.
Best regards,
I think we understood wrong.
When you print a Word document (.doc ) containing content some images in .tif format, these are displayed with a red cross , as in the attached document.
Apparently the library has a problem with processing this specific image format when printing quietly .
stay tuned to your comments Greetings .
Hi Hans,
Please note that Aspose.Words for Java mimics the behavior of MS Word. When you print using MS Word application, does it not display them as red cross? If not, please share MS Word printed file.
Generally, it seems you’re missing a necessary JAR file in the classpath. Aspose.Words for Java depends upon the Java Advanced Imaging (JAI) package from Sun in order to process images. In order to write to different image formats you are expected to have the appropriate image reader and writers installed on your development machine. I suggest you please download and install the JAI codec onto your machine. You can find jai 1.1.3 and jai-imageio 1.1 in the following links:

Best regards,
