Problems with Chart.toImage() function

Hi!

I’m using Aspose.Cells for Java, version 2.3.1.

When you have multiple datasets with long names in the chart, the layout of the dataset names goes haywire. Please see the attached label_bug.JPG for the erroneus chart, and correct_label.xls for the correct one.

Best regards,

Hi!

Thanks for the fast reply.

However, the issue doesn’t seem to be fixed and in addition this hotfix introduced a new bug.

Please see the attached file for the bugs.

1) There are 21 datasets in the chart, but the image is displaying only 18
2) When you double-click the chart, the dataset order reverses.

Hi,

Could you post the source Excel file, we need to test the Chart 2 Image feature with it.

Thank you.

Hi,

For the issue of some legend entries being lost in the image, we have fixed it. Please try the new fix(attached). But for your second question about “When you double-click the chart, the dataset order reverses”, we could not find it and we are not clear about it. Would you please explain it more for it?

Thank you.

Hi,

The issue can be seen from the erroneus_pp.ppt file I posted earlier.

When you open the file, you can see that the rendered image has the legend entries starting from the top-left corner (“Uusi suodatin 1, Uusi suodatin 2…”), but when you double-click the image and activate the excel file, the legend entries are reversed, e.g. “Uusi suodatin 1” starts from the bottom-right corner.

Hope this helps!

Hi Tuomas,

We are unable to find the issue of legend entries order. When double click the image and activate the excel file, the legend entries are still the same with the image("Uusi suodatin 1" starts from top-left corner).

Thanks,

Hi!

Hmm, that is weird. I’m using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 SP2 and the issues persists.

I have attached two pictures which outline the bug, before.JPG and after.JPG.

Edit: this happens with the aspose.cells_2.3.1_20100716.jar version.

Hi!

I cannot use this version as I can’t even get a PowerPoint file out because of this bug:

Weird glyph layout null pointer - #3 by hynninent - Free Support Forum - aspose.com

Happens with both 2.4.1 and 2.4.1.1 versions.
