Processing pivot tables corrupts Excel under some circumstances

I have a template worksheet that has a pivot table on it. It works exactly as expected when processed through Aspose Cells. I copy that worksheet to a new file & rename it. Run through the same data load process and all works as expected. If I change the pivot table, adding another column to the “Rows” section, and reprocess, the file opens with an error. Once Excel resolves the errors, Excel indicates that some pivot table parts have been removed.

For example: Removed Part: /xl/pivotTables/pivotTable1.xml part. (PivotTable view)

Is there any explanation for this? The initial file has no issues. Its only when a change is made to the structure of the pivot table. I have refreshed the pivot table & deleted cache. It happened regardless of the column I attempt to add. Any change to the Rows section causes this issue.

I would be happy to create and upload a sample program allowing you to reproduce the error. However, I know of no provision available to upload a sample program. Please advise on all.

@mlittle300,

Thanks for the details.

In order to assist us in assessing and reproducing your problem, please provide runnable sample code or a standalone sample application. Compress the resource files or application into a ZIP file and upload it here. When responding (when you click “Reply” link/button here), utilize the “Upload” button/icon in the reply section to attach your files. To minimize the project’s size, you may leave out the Aspose.Cells.Dll file. Alternatively, you can upload the archive to a file-sharing service (such as Dropbox or Google Drive) and share the download link here. Please make sure the link is accessible without requiring any login credentials.
