Excuse me but I just want to be sure before buying aspose.grid that I can lock (Protect) cells or entire workbooks with aspose.grid.desktop

Well, yes, you can protect worksheets in Aspose.Grid.Desktop too.

E.g.,

[C#]

//Protect the first worksheet.

gridDesktop1.Worksheets[0].Protected = true;

[VB]

'Protect the first worksheet.

gridDesktop1.Worksheets(0).Protected = True;
