Question on Watermarks and Defect Database

We have been using Aspose as a preview tool for Office documents through Sharepoint via conversion on the fly to PDF. We need to add watermarks to these documents to validate that the printed versions came from our document library. I wanted to use Aspose to handle this, but have found through the forums that watermarks must be done as a hack and a reference to defect #7114. I have another issue that is a know defect. Do we have any visibility into your defect database to track progress or estimated time to resolution? If we cannot factor in a resolution time, we have to start looking toward alternative methods/products etc. to meet the business units requirements.
thanks,
Shannon

Hi

Thanks for your request. The issue with watermarks is already resolved. So please try using the latest version of Aspose.Words. You can download it from here:
https://releases.aspose.com/words/net
There is no way to view our defect database. It is for internal use only.
Also, there is new product in Aspose.Words family – Aspose.Words for SharePoint. I think, you can find this product interesting:

Best regards.

Thank you,
Can you point me to an example of how to add a watermark for the document and will it be similar for PDF, Excel, and PPT files as well? I need to make sure I can do all those document types by setting a watermark at the document level, not adding a shape to each page so that it is transparent to users editing the files in the native Office applications?
I will take a look at the Sharepoint component. Is it licensed under the Aspose.Total product? We currently have a license for Aspose.Total.
Thanks, Shannon

Hi

Thanks for your request. Please see the following link to learn how to add watermark to Word documents:
https://docs.aspose.com/words/net/working-with-watermark/
Regarding PPT and Excel, you should ask in appropriate forums.
As I can see the latest Aspose.Total does not include Aspose.Words for SharePoint. Also applying license is a little bit different:

Best regards.
