- Can your software export to excel? Xls files?
- I just see that the software is Java compatible BUT NOT javascript. Can it be used with Angular/Javascript sites, specifically Angular 13? The site was unclear about any angular frontend support.
- which dot net version do you support?
- Can I have a main point of contact should I have any further questions or want to proceed with a purchase? We are a small to medium sized organization, and mainly trying to decide which flavor of the software would be right for us.
- Yes, you may try using Aspose.Cells APIs to create, edit, convert & render Excel files. You can export spreadsheets to multiple formats on any platform.
- I think you may try to use Aspose.Cells for Node.js via Java if it suits your needs. Alternatively, you may try using our cloud APIs which can be used in any platform/language seamlessly.
- Aspose.Cells for .NET supports all the .NET framework versions. It supports .NET Core & Xamarin platform as well. Moreover, it can be used with Mono & other platforms via COM Interop.
- You may post your queries in the forums and we will assist you instantly. Regarding your queries on purchase or licensing, please contact in Aspose.Purchase section.
Just some followup questions:
- Can Aspose.cells export to .csv files as well?
- Are these products appropriate for educational data (covered by FERPA)?
- What are the security features in these products to product PII?
- How long is the free trial for? Is the license per month/per year/per software used (perpetual)?
- Is there a tax we need to pay and what is it? (noticed you were based in Australia)
- Suppose we run into technical difficulaties with the product later on in the year. Is tech support covered once we purchase the product, or do we still have to work through the forum after purchase?
- Any known issues with the product(s) working with Angular 13 and/or javascript that we should know about? We plan to run it against dot net REST API first, but then the api would be accessible to the Angular 13 front end.
- Are our licenses compatible with future version of Angular (14 and beyond) or will we need to purchase a support plan to have this coverage?
- I see Java compatible designations on site, but not specifically Javascript. Will this be a problem?
- Will we have an account rep we can reach out to with issues?
- Please provide next steps to follow to complete the purchase.
1). Yes, it is supported. See the document on saving to CSV file format for your reference.
2). and 3). We think it has nothing to do with our product/API. As a third-party library, it just fetches data from user’s input such as template file and then does process data according to user’s program(invocation of our APIs). We will not dispatch any data to anywhere that has not been specified by your program.
4). The free trial does not pose any time restrictions, so you may use it. But there are certain restrictions when using the trial version (without any valid license) of the APIs, see the document on Licensing for example. Moreover, regarding queries for licensing or subscription, please contact our sales team in Aspose.Purchase section.
5). Please post your query in Aspose.Purchase section.
6). You can avail forum technical support for sure, there is no restriction whether you have purchased or you are using trial version.
7). 8). and 9). We do not think Aspose.Cells will interact with the code of front end (such as, angular, javascript, etc.). You should just use our component to build the rest APIs by yourselves and then the code of front end communicates with those rest APIs accordingly.
10). When you find any issue, you may post a new thread in the forums. We will evaluate the issue using your artifacts and resource files and then log a ticket for it into our (internal) system (database). Once we figure out your issue, we will provide the fixed version/supported version for your needs.
11). Please post your queries in Aspose.Purchase section and one of our sales staff member will assist you soon there.
So these answer most of my questions, but one of my first ones is still up in the air:
- We need to export to both .xls AND pdf file formats. Does this mean we need to purchase both Aspose.Cells AND Aspose.PDF? Or can Aspose.Cells do everything that Aspose.PDF can do? Or is this where you recommend cloud APIs?
- Do you have a free trial of Aspose.Cells for DotNet, and a free trial of Aspose.PDF?
-
Aspose.Cells can render Excel workbook to PDF file format as well, see the document(s) in the section for your reference. Please note Aspose.Cells is MS Excel or spreadsheet management API, so you can create a workbook or render an existing workbook to PDF file format. But you cannot manipulate PDF file format. To manipulate PDF documents, you would require Aspose.PDF API.

You may get 30 days temporary license to work with the Aspose API with full capacity. See the document on how to request or obtain temporary license for your reference.
