"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I’m trialing the Aspose PDF library and receiving the following error:

com.aspose.pdf.internal.ms.System.z107: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I’m using a Macbook and the aspose library is deployed on a WebApp using a local GlassFish server (NetBeans)

Any suggestions?
