Re: License initialization errors in Aspose.Pdf 4.7 & 4.9

Hi,

I’m also getting a FileNotFoundException when initializing the license for Aspose.Pdf 4.9.0.0 (works fine with 4.8.0.0). I’m using the DLL for .NET 2.0.

My environment is a Windows 2008 server (64 bit). I use the following piece of code:

new Pdf.License().SetLicense(“Aspose.Total.lic”);

The file “Aspose.Total.lic” is correctly embedded into my solution, since I can set the licenses for a whole bunch of other Aspose DLLs (Words, Cells, Pdf.Kit, Barcode, etc). It only fails for the Aspose.Pdf.

The exception I get is the following:

Exception occurred. Details: Cannot find license ‘Aspose.Total.lic’.

Hi,

Thanks for using our products.

I have tested the scenario using Aspose.Pdf for .NET 4.9.0 (net4.0_ClientProfile\Aspose.Pdf.dll) over Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise 64Bit and I am unable to notice any problem. Can you please share the license file that you are using so that we can test the scenario once again at our end. We apologize for your inconvenience.

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

I have tested the scenario and I am able to notice the problem that in current release version, an error is being generated when using license file as an embedded resource. For the sake of correction, I have logged this problem as PDFNET-23909 in our issue tracking system. We will further look into the details of this problem and will keep you updated on the status of correction.

As a workaround, you may try using the license file while accessing it from some specific location. We apologize for your inconvenience.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 23909) have been fixed in this update.
