Re: OutOfMemory with updateFields and other operations

romank:
3k pages document is a bit too big for Aspose.Words at the moment.

Hi Roman,

I realize this post if 5 years old and the information may be dated. Is 3k page document still considered too big for Aspose.Words? If not, what number of pages should we expect Aspose.Words to be able to handle in a reasonable amount of time?

We are currently trying to save (Document.Save) a 4.8k page document and it’s taking about 12 minutes.

Thanks,
stefan

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your inquiry. We have added many new features, improvements, bug fixes during those five years. Could you please attach your sample input Word document and code snippet here for testing? We will investigate the issue on our end and provide you more information.

Best regards,

Hi Awais,

Can you please confirm if a 3k pages document is too big for Aspose.Words? If not, what is the current page limit?

Thank you,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your inquiry. Please try latest version of Aspose.Words 16.11.0 and see how it goes on your end. Generally, the processing time and memory usage fully depend on your documents and their complexity. Unfortunately, we have no benchmarks available for performance/memory tests yet. Please note that the process of converting Word document to fixed-page formats such as PDF/XPS or images is not linear; it may take a minute to render one page and may take a few seconds to render 100 pages. Please also note that there is no size limit of document you can generate using Aspose.Words. The only limit is the amount of RAM available on your side. Hope, this helps.

Best regards,
