Reading the OpenXmlAttribute(OpenXML SDK) information in ASPOSE

Hi,

Using Open XML SDK, we have added custom attributes(OpenXmlAttribute class) to Merge fields and Tables,then loaded the final DOCX bytes to ASPOSE.

Can we access/read the attributes(OpenXMLAttribute objecs) in ASPOSE that we have added using Open XML SDK?

Also Can we add similar type custom attributes in any Merge fields or tables using ASPOSE?

Hi,

CheckGeneralContent201311141039.docx - contains custom attributes added and this file created using Open XML SDK.

if we open the document.xml file from zip file, then you could see the custom attributes added using Open XML SDK.

Refer MergeFields.png and TableAttributes.png file to see custom attributes.

Then we loaded the CheckGeneralContent201311141039.docx into ASPOSE and tried to find a way to read those custom attributes, we did not find any option in ASPOSE.

we would like to know whether any option available in ASPOSE to read those attributes. Can you please let us know?

Thanks for your inquiry. In this case, Aspose.Words mimics he behavior of Microsoft Word. Please try re-saving your DOCX document using Microsoft Word 2013. These attributes are not even preserved in Microsoft Word generated output. If we can help you with anything else, please feel free to ask.

Thanks. Is there any other option available in ASPOSE to store and retrive custom information for objects like tables, fields, images, hyperlinks etc ?
