Regarding MSP Writeback

Dear Team,

This is regarding MSP writeback, Please refer the screenshot as attached, in that it is mentioned that MSP can be written back from database, My requirement is to write back the msp from Oracle database, i want to writeback by assigning each and every property of Project, task etc with database stored values after purchasing the licensed aspose.dll, not with binary format concept. Is it possible?? Please guide!!

Dear Team,

One more question, i want to ask, can i upload msp file of any version whether it is 2003, 2007 or 2010 through licensed aspose.dll. Please help.

Dear Team,

A gentle Reminder, Please ensure me can we upload the msp file of any version (2003,2007,2010) using licensed aspose.dll..Please help as we want to buy the licensed dll.

Hi Vanita,

As I have already shared in a reply to your private post dated 20 April, 2011 that Aspose.Tasks for .NET does not support updating MPP files at the moment
but a request in this regards has been logged into our issue tracking
system as TASKS-11799 and planned for the next quarter. We will inform you once this feature has been implemented.

At the moment you can read and save unchanged MPP data but you cannot change tasks, resources etc in your MPP files. You can update project summary information only in your MPP files and same thing has been mentioned in your attached document.

If you want to change all the properties of project, tasks, resources etc. and save the changed project as XML then Aspose.Tasks for .NET allows you to do that but if you want to change all the properties of project, tasks, resources etc. and save the changed project as MPP then you cannot do that until our developers implement this feature in the next quarter.

Please keep above mentioned points in your view before purchasing Aspose.Tasks for .NET and feel free to contact us in case you have further comments or questions.

Best Regards,
