Regarding unable to write standard extended attributes

Hi Team,

Thanks for your previous replies.

I have got stuck with the following :-

I have to add some of the below mentioned attributes to my task.

Duration, Start, Finish, Predecessor, Resource Names, Task Mode, (Standard attributes which are already present.)

But I am unable to read this extended attribute using the

following code:-

ExtendedAttribute attr1 = new ExtendedAttribute();

attr1.FieldId = ((int)ExtendedAttributeTask.Text1).ToString();

attr1.Value = item4.Deliverable;

Task.ExtendedAttributes.Add(attr1);

ExtenededAttributes does not contain definition of this.

I am able to read text1, flag1,… etc fields.

I can read Start1, Finish1 but in that case auto calculation of duration and auto calculation of parent & grand parents start & finish date is no coming.

Please let me know.How can I do so?

Thank you for writing to Aspose support team again.

Following sample code writes the extended attribute Text1 to the project along with the sample value. To get the calculation mode of a task, please use IsManual flag value of the task. Please give a try to the following sample code and share the feedback.

ExtendedAttributeDefinition taskTextAttr = new ExtendedAttributeDefinition();

taskTextAttr.ElementType = ElementType.Null;

taskTextAttr.Alias = “New text1 attribute”;

Hi Team,

How to set the value for Resource Name field.?I am using Task.Set() Method but I am unable to pulled the data.I am setting the DB data which is string data to the Resource field.

// Task.Set(Rsc.Name,item4.OwnerNm); --> This is throwing error. Here item4.OwnerNm is the Db data and item4 is our for loop iteration variable to printing the resource name in the MPP.

projectWrite.CalculationMode = CalculationMode.Automatic; --> this automatic mode is not working.Please tell me how to use this method.

also, projectWrite.CalculationMode = CalculationMode.Maual --> this is also not working as well.

I am using the following code:-

projectWrite.CalculationMode = CalculationMode.Manual;

Hi Team,

Please let me know how to set predecessor in a task & Critical Path Indicator which I am using as Flag1 in my code.

ExtendedAttribute attr3 = new ExtendedAttribute();

attr2.FieldId = ((int)ExtendedAttributeTask.Flag1).ToString();

attr2.Value = item4.CriticalPathInd;

Task4.ExtendedAttributes.Add(attr3);

This is also not working it is showing field Id as null & field value is null.

CriticalPathInd is of type char and it contains Y & N for Yes & No which i want to set in the flag.

Resource rsc1 = proj.Resources.Add(“Resource 1”); rsc1.Set(Rsc.Type, ResourceType.Work); ResourceAssignment assgn = proj.ResourceAssignments.Add(task1, rsc1); assgn.Set(Asn.Start, new DateTime(2004, 1, 9, 8, 0, 0)); assgn.Set(Asn.ActualStart, new DateTime(2004, 1, 9, 8, 0, 0)); proj.Save(“Project1.xml”, SaveFileFormat.XML);

Following is the sample code where predecessor is set using Tasklink object.
