Hi,
Hi,
We have found the issues and fixed them.
Please try the fixed version (attached): Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services V1.8.0.56.
Please refer to the following operates:
But, we suggest that don’t use dynamic formula to set sub-total because SQL Server Reporting Services does not support it.
By the way, we do no support dynamic formula “SUM” for footer at present.
Thank you.
Hi,
We would like to know if there is a way to use the parameters from the reports on the column headers. We have dynamic headers and do not know how to bring in the parameters , for ex, we need to display Team(Red) as the column name and need to get Red from the parameters.. Is that a possibility to get the parameters to the column header?
Also, is there a way to bring the header into the table as such. The reason, we ask is , when imported the rdls into aspose to add aspose features, the headers all basically becomes text fields as are not into the table any more.
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Aparna
Hi,
Hi,
We have checked the issue and think that, the way of formatting condition and reporting services formula may meet your needs.
We are enclosing attached files. And please refer to attachment and following contents.
1. Use Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services Client open the report define file(report40064.rdl) in excel.
2. Check table header. There are three cells that set report parameters value with insert formula function at table header.
3. These cells set formatting condition .
4. The C3 Cell sets freeze panes.
5. You may refer some setting to change your report define file at excel.
6. And save and publish your report define file through Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services Client.
7. The report40064-result.xlsx file is the exported test file. Please check whether it meets your need.
If the above way cannot meet your needs, please give us your detail descriptions about your needs and post sample cases.
Hi,
Thank you very much for your reply. The issue is to display data set fields on the header. Since ours being a dynamic header, we would like to know if there is a way to display field values from the data set on to the header. The reason, we ask is, when we import the rdls into aspose to add Aspose features, the headers all basically becomes text fields as are not into the table any more. Due to this we cannot add data set fields to the header. For Ex: In the attached file please check the table header for the columns “I, J, K…” As you can see we tried to display field “WK1” from the data set. But it does not give the field value in the header. Please let us know if this possible or if you need any more information.
Thanks,
Aparna.
Hi,
Thanks for using Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services.
We have logged your requirements/description in our database along with your file against the issue id: SSRS-40064
Once, there is some help/advise for you or if we need anything else from your part, we will let you know by posting here.
Hi, Do we have any update on this issue with the display of the dataset value on the table header ?
Thanks for all the help . We appreciate your help.
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for your posting and using Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services.
We are developing this feature.
We plan to finish this feature in late October.
Thank you for looking into this issue. May you please let us know when you have the product available.
We had another question regarding the rdl. If we have an SSRS rdl, which we work off of on the apsose designer and import it back into the SSRS, which we modify again on the rdl via visual studio, it seems to be broken when we export it into Aspose excel. In other terms, it can't see those changes made on the visual studio. Is this an expected behaviour or we missing something ?
We appreciate all your help and thanks again.
Thanks,
Aparna
Hi,
Thanks for your posting.
Sure, we will keep you updated and once the product is available, we will let you know.
Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services report designer can design SSRS report through excel.
But these report items of the report define file’s main function is to provide report data for Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services rendering.
These report items’s place is not exact. We, through other information, get exact place of report items.
So you cannot use other rendering tools to export accurate report.
Hi,
Thank you for the informaion. We will look out for the new release.
Also, as the feature involves adding values from the dataset/parameters to the header row, would we be able to use the parameters or dataset values to do the hiding unhiding of the columns on the report. Or is it already an possiblitlity to hide the columns at the rendering time. Please let us know.
Thanks again.

Hi,
Thanks for your questions and using Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services.
We will look into your queries and give you advice asap.
Thank You for looking into it.
We would also like to know if we can export the parameter along with the report, may be the parameters into sheet 2 of the excel spreadsheet.
Currently we are trying to hide /unhide the columns using a macro and hence we wanted some way to control it through the parameters.
We would soon want to purchase the product , some of the features that we have discussed in the last few exchanges seems to be very important for our client, so please keep us posted on the updates.
Thanks,
Aparna

Thank you ! We will open a new thread for the macro questions.
Hi,
Thanks for creating your issue in a separate thread.
We have added your issue and updated you on your new thread.
Hi,
Thanks for using Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services.
We have now added two features for these issues.
Please download and try the latest installer: Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services V1.8.0.69 (MSI).
Please check the table header and hide document and table header and hide report define file.
We suggest you to dynamically set hidden row, column and sheet function instead of macros.
Please try the new feature for table headers and see if it meets your needs.
Let us know your run results.
The issues you have found earlier (filed as SSRS-40057;SSRS-40055;SSRS-40064) have been fixed in this update.
