A another requirements, the customer is in a process of evaluating this tool and would appreciate your inputs.
The requirement: A pdf report to be generated with multiple pages including charts on it. We have developed this feature using MS SSRS(client side). However the issue we are facing is on the size of the pdf files. It runs in few MBs and which is not acceptable to us. We would like to restrict this below 300 kb.
My question to you on this context is:
1. Does this tool help in reducing the size of pdf(multiple pages and charts on it)?
2. Does this tool provides features to enhance performance?
3. Could you please elaborate on compression features

We have a component named Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services which is used to create documents on the server without utilizing Adobe.Pdf SDK. Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services supports all RDL report features are supported, allowing you to generate high quality PDF reports having tables, charts and images etc and supports the report generation over Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 Reporting Services.
Regarding your queries,
1. Does this tool help in reducing the size of pdf(multiple pages and charts on it)?
Ans) I'm afraid currently you cannot restrict the size of resultant PDF document.
2. Does this tool provides features to enhance performance?
In recent versions of Aspose.Pdf for Reporting Services lots of new features have been introduced and performance factor has also been improved, but it all depends upon the contents of .RDL file which you need to convert. So in order for us to be sure that either it provides the required performance or it entails some enhancements, we would be requiring the sample .RDL file that you are using.
3. Could you please elaborate on compression features
I'm sorry to inform you that compression feature is currently not supported by Aspose.Pdf for Reporting services. Meanwhile, I've contact the development team to check, if we can support this feature or not. As soon as I've updates, I would be pleased to update you with the status of implementation.

I want to add more comment on compression feature. For common stream in the PDF we use deflate compression. For image that is already compressed such as JPEG, we keep the compression of the original image. If you can provide some example we can consider if we can provide some suggestion to reduce the PDF size.
