Running Macros using Aspose.cell

Hi,


I am new to Aspose.cell and I have a requirement to use the predefined excel template sheet(Sheet#2 has pivot table with lot of macros) and by using that template sheet and Aspose, I have to populate the sheet#1 with appropriate data and have to execute the sheet#2 provided macros. Is it possible by using Aspose.cell and please advice me if any other tools can substitute the above behavior.

Thanks for your posting.

I am afraid your requested feature of writing/updating macros or vba codes programmatically through Aspose.Cells is not supported.

Aspose.Cells only supports to preserve the macros/vba codes which are in your template file. It does not support to run, add/update macros or vbas.

We have already registered this feature in our internal work list with issue id: CELLSNET-13561.

We may look into it in future versions though.

I am afraid, there is no update for this issue. I will try to get some update from the concerned developer. Once I have any update, I will let you know here.

Hi,

Thanks for using Aspose.Cells.

We only plan to create,
manipulate or embed VBA codes/ macros later. We however cannot support
to run or execute macros. Does it fit your needs?
