Saaspose 400 Bad Request only on Duplicate ppt / pptx files

im a developer using saaspose to convert ppt and pptx files to jpg
i just deployed an application to my server and im getting a ton of 400 bad requests from saaspose
on any ppt / pptx file that is a duplicate of an orignal powerpoint file. the originals all work fine, but if they are copied, the uploaded copies all return bad requests. this is not local to my machine. several of my colleagues at points around the world are having exact same difficulty with any copied files.
so the original files upload, convert and retrieve file count fine, but all duplicates of originals return 400 bad request.

Hi Tony,

You cannot convert a PPT/PPTX file to JPEG because a PPT/PPTX can have many slides. Please check http://saaspose.com/docs/display/slides/presentation+Resource for a list of formats a presentation can be converted to.

I tried to convert original and duplicate PPT/PPTX files to other formats and all conversions were successful. I also converted specific slides from original and duplicate PPT/PPTX files to JPEG and all of them were converted without any issue. Can you please share a sample PPT/PPTX document you are having problems with? Please also share your code to reproduce the issue.

Not sure what you are talking about. I have converted dozens of ppt / pptx
slides into jpg images in the last few days on saaspose. The problem I have
traced is to your API, it is not on our end.

None of our accounts are allowing uploads. The problem is yours, not ours.
I have traced the problem to this:

1. If we attempt to upload a ppt / pptx file to your API storage, we get a
bad request.
2. We can only edit and convert ppt / pptx files that are currently in
saaspose storage.

Please advise as to why you are not accepting new files. Our two appSID are:

account 1 appSID: 50e4d68c-d715-4335-9fa6-8941adb461bc
account 2 appSID: aa07d1d3-4906-428b-8202-8a9a8bb7bb76

Hi Tony,

Sorry, I think there was some misunderstanding on my part. There is no issue in conversion; you are actually unable to upload new files.

Can you please confirm if you are trying to upload smaller than 20MB files? If yes, then please share complete code you are using to upload files. This will help us replicate the issue at our end and find a solution because there is no issue with your account.

If you can also provide a sample input file with your code, that will help a lot. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Tony,

Is your issue resolved? If it's still not resolved then as suggested by our team, please share the code and the input file you're using at your end, so we could test it at our end. We'll be glad to help you.

Yes, issue resolved. I was going to ask one more question. Does Saaspose
have a function call that allows you to view a powerpoint file directly? As
in the case of a powerpoint that might have animation, which could be
embedded on my client's website and viewed through one of the API tools?

Hi Tony,

Saaspose is a REST based API to process documents and we do not provide a viewer to load/view documents. All you can do with Saaspose is convert slides to images and load those images on your site or convert to HTML and load in an HTML viewer.

You can try our sister company GroupDocs http://groupdocs.com/ which provides a document viewer with conversion and manipulation features.

I wonder if you would be as kind enough to tell me how you convert your
powerpoints to jpg? Are you using an installation of office on your servers
and thereby calling .NET / COM viewing libraries, or do you use OpenXML or
perhaps RDP calls to an offline desktop with Office running? I'm just
curious how the process you have setup works. I need a solution, which
groupdocs may provide, but I was curious about how your API does the
conversions to begin with.

Hi Tony,

Saaspose is actually the cloud version of Aspose and we use trusted and reliable products of Aspose http://www.aspose.com/ to create convert or manipulate documents.

Please feel free to contact us in case you have further comments or questions.
