Sample VB.NET app runs very slowly

Hello,


I’ve downloaded your trial of Aspose.OCR and the example solutions. When I run the sample solution on your sample image (with the alphabet listed twice on it) it takes 90seconds to 2 minutes to OCR just that tiny image.

Can you shed some light on what I may have wrong? I expected it to only take a couple seconds to run that.

Thank you for evaluating Aspose APIs.

I have tested the performance of Aspose.OCR for .NET 1.8.0 on my end. The process took almost 1 min to extract the text from the sample file included in the Aspose Examples Dashboard. I agree the time taken to perform OCR operation is higher than your expectation, and we are already working hard to improve the recognition quality as well as speed with every future release of the product.

This is to brief you on the ticket logged earlier as OCR-33664. We are currently working on a new algorithm for Recognition Engine that upon implementation will yield better performance in terms of time. We are currently analyzing the said algorithm, and hope to complete the implementation within the first quarter of 2014.

As soon as we get more updated in this regard, we will post here for your kind reference. Thank you for your patience.
