When saving the attached PPT to a PDF the result is a white page. It happens with any PPT file i create in powerpoint 2010
slide = New Presentation(“c:\temp\1.ppt”)
slide.Save(“t:\temp\1.pdf”, Export.SaveFormat.Pdf)
What to do?
Hi Joost,
Please use Aspos.Slides for .NET 4.4.6, which is available for download from here. The mentioned version has resolved the issue shared by you.
Thanks and Regards,
Hi Mudassir,
I have encountered a similar problem to Joost, when exporting a 2003 ppt to pdf - all the text is blanked out, and only images remain in the output.
I have tested with the new version 4.4.6 you shared a link to, and it fixed the problem.
However, this does not appear to be an official release of Aspose.Slides and so does not comply with my company's policy. Can you give me an estimated release date for version 4.4.6?
Many thanks, Pete
Hello Pete,
Thanks for your interest in Aspose.Slides.
I like to share that Aspose.Slides for .NET 4.4.6 is the hotfix version. We are planing to release Aspose.Slides for .NET 4.5.0 by end of Feburary hopefully. In the mean while, you may please continue with the mentioned product version.
Thanks and Regards,
Thanks for your prompt response Mudassir.
I'll use the 4.4.6 hotfix until the next release then.
Pete
Hi Pete,
We have released the hotfix version of Aspose.Slides for .NET 4.4.10. It is much stable version and many issues have been resolved in it. I may suggest you please use the mentioned version, which is available for download from here.
Thanks and Regards,
I am having the same problem. I have tried multiple ways to convert powerpoint files to PDF, and I get blank pages each time.
How does this hotfix work? Where should the files be located to make it work?
Hi,
Thanks for your interest in Aspose.Slides.
I have observed the requirements shared by you and suggest you to please try using Aspose.Slides for .NET 8.4.0 or Aspose.Slides for .NET 14.1.2 on your end. If there is still an issue then please share the sample presentation and generated PDF file with us. I will investigate the issue further on my end to help you further in this regard.
Many Thanks,
I downloaded the fix, but not much is said on how to proceed with enabling it. I am using PowerPoint 2010, with Acrobat Pro X. When I try to convert the pptx file (sized at 56x56 for posters), it gives me an error or if the pdf is created, a blank page. I’ve tried various way to create the pdf (create from ppt program or acrobat pro, right click and create pdf), and same results. Currently, I’m using a Windows XP machine.
Also, I have no problems creating pdfs from other microsoft programs. It’s just Powerpoint I’m having an issue with.
Any help on using this fix or other recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
