Saving a Document in XPS Format

We are currently evaluating Aspose.Words and understand that printing is in “beta” and unsupported.

We are playing with the idea of using the XpsDocumentWriter to print Aspose.Words documents from a .NET application. Is there a way to save Aspose.Words documents in the XPS format? The documentation for the SaveFormat enumeration lists more than a dozen different members but none of them are Xps.

Is saving to xps possible? If not, will it be possible in the near future? Or is it possible that we’re going about this wrong and you know a better way? Any input would be appreciated.

TIA

Hi
Thank you for your interest in Aspose.Words. We plan to make export to XAML (Flow Document) pretty soon so you will be able to view it in WPF. Check back in 2-3 months.
Export to XPS (Fixed Document) is also planed, but probably a bit later than flow.
Best regards.

Hi Alexey,

We were wondering about the status of XAML/XPS development? After trying with a Word document, we were able to get the text into XAML but not the images or header/footer.

Thanks!

Hi

Thank you for your interest in Aspose.Words. XAML is currently in beta. Only text is supported in this version.
Currently we are working on XPS format and it will be supported within a month. I will notify you as soon as XPS or XAML will be supported.
Best regards,

We are happy to tell you that Aspose.Words already supports export to XPS. You can download the latest version of Aspose.Words from here.
