Scanned image does not comply with created template due to positional issues

Hi, i am experimenting on omr feature for java. As you all know, scanned sheets mostly have some sligth rotation and position changes comparing to its digital version. That’s why they don’t fit correctly to my template. I think there should be something like using dark circles in the corners of the sheets to avoid this problem. Any help appreciated.

Hi Alp,

Thank you for your inquiry.

We need the sample OMR template and the sample scanned sheet image. This will help us to reproduce the issue at our end. Please, do forward us the information about the Aspose.OCR version that you are using. We will look into the issue and update you accordingly.

Looking forward for your reply along with sample scanned sheet image and OMR template.

Here is the template file and scanned images. I am using aspose.ocr for java version 2.7.0. Thanks in advance.

Hi Alp,

Thank you for providing sample images and template.

Please, note that at the moment OMR engine does not support automatic correction of rotated, tilted and skewed images. This feature is under investigation. We have attached this post inquiry to the ticket under investigation (Ticket ID: OCR-34124). You will be updated accordingly about any progress in this regard.

Further, we have created a sample template by using your provided scanned sheet images and adjusted the elements on it. It has been noticed that it produces correct output. Sample OMR template is attached for your reference. So, please try to create OMR template with the help of one of the scanned sheet image.

Hope the above information helps. In case of any issue, please be sure to let us know. We will be glad to assist you.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as ) have been fixed in this Aspose.Words for JasperReports 18.3 update.
