Send date reset for attached mails when converting eml to msg

Hello,
we are fetiching mails from a pop3 server via java mail and convert the mails to msg using aspose.email for java (latest version).
If an e-mail contains another (previously send) e-mail as an attachment, the send date of the attached mail is “reset” to the send date of the main e-mail in the msg. In the original message/rfc822 file, the date is correct.

I have observed issue and suggest you to please first try using latest Aspose.Email for Java 20.5 and in case there is still an issue then please provide the working sample code along with test account credentials and snapshot of incurring issue.

@andreas4e47b, We hae investigated the issue. This is not a bug but a feature of Aspose.Email. In order to avoid changing the date, please use the PreserveOriginalDates flag from MsgSaveOptions like this: MailMessage attMsg = MailMessage.Load(ms); MsgSaveOptions options = new MsgSaveOptions(MailMessageSaveType.OutlookMessageFormatUnicode); options.PreserveOriginalDates = true; attMsg.Save(fileName, options);
