Set PDF Font encoding to Ansi

I am using version 8.1.0.0 of Aspose for Word .net for server side conversion of Word docx files to PDF using c#. I tried upgrading a few years back to a 9.1.0.0 but due to backward compatibility issues (existing code stopped working) I decided to stick with the previous version.

Currently, the generated PDF has the encoding of the fonts set to Identity-H (see attached JPG doc). I have a new requirement for the encoding to be Ansi. Is this something I can configure in version 8.1.0.0. If so, could I please have some sample code? If not, can I achieve this in later versions?

Hi Sulakhan,

Thanks for your inquiry and sorry for the delayed response.

Could you please attach your input Word document here for testing? I will investigate the issue on my side and provide you more information.

Best Regards,

Please find attached both the Word document and the generated PDF document. Viewing PDF document properties indicates the font encoding of IDENTITY-H

Thanks,

Sulakhan

Hi Sulakhan,

Thanks for your inquiry.

While using the latest version of Aspose.Words i.e. 11.6.0, I was unable to reproduce this issue on my side. I would suggest you please upgrade to the latest version. You can download it from the following link:
http://www.aspose.com/community/files/51/.net-components/aspose.words-for-.net/entry400778.aspx

I hope, this will help.

Moreover, please read the following article on migrating from older Aspose.Words’ versions:
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/wordsnet/Migrating+from+Earlier+Versions+of+Aspose.Words

Best Regards,

I was unable to test against the latest version of the dll as my licence file does not support this version. I have request a temporary licence through the 'Get Pricing Information' to prove that it resolves our issue, and will then consider getting an up-to-date subscription.

Thanks,

Sulakhan
