As we recently have been able to notice this issue, so we product team requires little time to investigate and figure out the reasons of this issue. However as a workaround, you may consider loading the license by providing complete license file path i.e. D:/licensefiles/Aspose.Total.Java.lic
The issues you have found earlier (filed as PDFNEWJAVA-35081) have been fixed in hotfix Aspose.Pdf for Java 10.6.1.
