Hi,
When we convert a document from Word to PDF, the PDF page size seems to always be A4 (or atleast, rendered in A4). If the Word document we converted from is set to Letter, which then shows differently to the PDF document. If we change the the page size in Word to A4, the layout is then the same as the PDF version.
What’s weird is that even if I change the print setup in PDF to use Letter, and print the document, it still prints as if its A4, but I suspect the printer page size may override the setting when printing.
Can one specify the PDF page size during the conversion.
Thanks,

Hi
Thanks for your request. Paper size is the same in DOC file and in Produced PDF. Please see attached screenshots.
I cannot see any problems in the generated PDF. It looks fine. Please tell me, what is the problem?
I suppose you are using Aspose.Words+Aspose.Pdf to convert your document to PDF. Currently there is direct method:
https://docs.aspose.com/words/net/convert-a-document-to-pdf/
See the following link to learn about differences between old and new method.
https://docs.aspose.com/words/net/convert-a-document-to-pdf/
Best regards.
Hi attached are screenshot of what I mean. The WordAsLetter.png shows the page break in word when the Size in Page Layout is on Letter. WordAsA4.png shows the same doc, but with size set to A4. PDF.png shows the same doc in pdf, which looks like the WordAsA4, instead of WordAsLetter. The word doc that was converted to the PDF was WordAsLetter version, NOT the A4 one.
I’m actually not really convinced this is a conversion issue, but our clients are complaining that the word version and the PDF version looks different, and we tracked the “difference” down to the page size the seems to differ.
Hope this explain it more clearly
Thanks,
Charl Marais
I will test it with the direct pdf save method and see what happens.

Hi
Thank you for additional information. I logged this problem to our defect database as issue #7949. I will notify you as soon as it is fixed.
It seems the problem occurs because spacings of some paragraph are ignored.
Best regards.
Please ignore, testing shared email account for company developers.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-2186) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
